Commonwealth Games 20km Mens' Walk

So the Mens walk was later that afternoon. It was more sunny, and the clothes were more modest. But then again I'm not sure if you want to see guys running down the street near your building in speedos!

If you look closely at the image above, I think this guy was cheating! You're supposed to have at least one foot on the ground aren't ya?

Commonwealth Games 20km Womens' Walk

Guess what happened to walk by my work building yesterday...?

So I rocked up to my car park a bit after 9AM and I see the games walkers already starting! I didn't think they'd start that early. But I planned to bring my camera along to take photographs, and give my 70-300mm lens a bit of a work out!

I can't upload photographs today, unfortunately. This blogger thing just won't work in Internet Explorer or Firefox :(

Good morning

This was taken bright and early in the morning, on one of my road trips to good ol' Sydney. We always wake up nice and early (around 3 or 4 AM) so that we can hit the road before anyone else. It would be dark and mysterious for the first part of the trip, as we travelled through the outer suburbs of Melbourne, and then through the country side.

Little by little, the sun would come up slowly; getting brighter and brighter as the morning minutes ticked by. Of course I'd still be trying to get some sleep in the back seat, as I was lulled by the hum of the engine and the tyres on the road. Waking up early clearly isn't my thing.

By the time the sun is just before full flight, we'd always hit the McDonalds in Wangaratta. I think on this particular trip it must have been Christmas day or Boxing day, or something and the fast food stores weren't opening early. Hrmm...

So as we had breakfast outside, the flowers too were looking for the presence of Ronald, but instead they found me and my camera.

Fireworks

Well the typical no posts for a while comment goes here. I've been caught up in playing Age of empires 3 on my brand spanking new notebook pc, so I'm moving all the data across, e.g. photos etc.

But there doesn't seem to be any relevance as to why I put a photograph of fireworks from new years eve at this time, although I think I might need some fireworks in my life to spark it up a bit! It's getting a bit dull!
